Wow, I can’t believe my last entry was exactly three months ago! I almost deleted this blog because I feel like I don’t have any time to update it as often as I used to, but, I decided against it. So, I’ll try to summarize what I’ve been up to for the past few months. I have not posted any of my book reviews here because recently, my reading club created a book review blog and I’m one of its contributors. Some of my contributions are group reviews which we called “convo reviews” and some are individual reviews. Click on the titles if you feel like checking them out. =)

November of last year, I joined the wattpad community. It’s fun, you can find people who love to write and read fiction. Also, you can post your own works there. I haven’t posted anything for the past few weeks either, but feel free to check the site. There are a lot of interesting people and potential writers/poets. It’s pretty cool.

Spoken word poet, Sarah Kay with her book “No Matter The Wreckage

Speaking of poetry, Sarah Kaye released her debut poetry book! You can buy it here. I haven’t read it yet, I’m hoping that they will publish an eBook version.

The last poetry book I’ve read was Love & Misadventures by Lang Leav, and it was an eBook version. It’s cute and very relatable. Well, I guess the reason why it went viral is because the topic is about love, everyone can relate to that. Love is universal. I think the art helped too, its amazing! You can check out more of Lang Leav’s art works on her blog.

Still on poetry, just a few hours ago I watched the spoken word performance by Bianca Phipps entitled “Almosts”. It made me cry. The poem and the delivery is just beautiful. It’s really sad but I loved it.

“I hope your heaven is a library and I hope it is void of almosts.”

Well, that’s all for now. Happy Monday!
