Castle Finale

So, Castle finally ended the other night and it was a bittersweet ending. I did not expect to be emotional while watching Crossfire but I did shed some tears. I really am going to miss this show. I watched it twice already. The first time I was too emotional and didn’t nitpick all the scenes in the episode. So, I watched it again after work and I realized how the show ended abruptly. I  guess they weren’t really expecting the show to end this year and had to make last minute changes on the episode. Anyway, it was a good one. At least we know that they survived and have three cute kids. The Castle fandom is really amazing, I already found some Castle fanfics on Tumblr continuing the story from Crossfire. Thank you for all the awesome Castle Fanfic authors!

The season finale of Marvel’s Agent of SHIELD aired last night so, I am going to watch episodes 17-22 soon.

Speaking of Marvel shows. I have finished Marvel’s Jessica Jones and I liked it. The show is a little darker than most Marvel shows I’ve seen because it tackles issues like PTSD, addiction, abuse, rape, abortion, etc. Also, Jones is not your typical heroine, she’s really messed up. She knows it, she doesn’t pretend to be someone else, and she always mention that she isn’t a hero. It was great, and I’m looking forward to watch the second season. I couldn’t say the same thing about Marvel’s Daredevil. I watched until episode 10 of season one and then I couldn’t anymore. I just find his character annoying, he always acts rashly  doesn’t accept help from others, and it looked like he doesn’t really have an end game. The only characters I loved from this show are Foggy and Claire. Foggy is such a great guy, he’s very honest and kind. Claire is a super nurse, she is now the official nurse of the heroes of Hell’s Kitchen. She did patch up Luke Cage in Marvel’s Jessica Jones. I read in Wikipedia that these Marvel’s mini-series are leading up to a cross-over show entitled The Defenders. Which includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the Iron Fist. I am looking forward to watch that.

I have watched a lot of shows this week and haven’t picked up a single book. This makes me feel bad, I have to read a new book soon. =/

My favorite shows got cancelled.

Yesterday, I found out that my favorite shows Castle and Agent Carter will be cancelled. I have seen this coming from Castle because after Beckett and Castle got married, the ratings went down and the story wasn’t as great as it used to. I didn’t know that there were tension going on between Stana and Nathan that resulted to Stana leaving the show. I also just found out yesterday that most of the  Castle fans preferred having the show cancelled than watching it without Beckett in it. I completely agree with that. Honestly, the show should have ended at season 7. While I was on vacation, I made my sister watch Castle and told her to stop at Season 7 because Season 8 was terrible. Anyway, Castle being cancelled is sad but at the same time a relief for all the fans.

What really upsets me is Agent Carter being cancelled. I guess the ratings of season two was really low that they had to cancel the show. I’m going to miss Peggy and Jarvis’ adventures. For Hayley Atwell fans, do not worry, she will have a new show in ABC entitled Conviction. BTW, I have seen the latest Captain America movie and I guess it’s the last time we’ll see Peggy. She was literally buried in the film, and a new love interest for the Captain was introduced. So, I guess this is really a goodbye to Agent Peggy Carter!

On the brighter side, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will be renewed. Yay!  Bones will also be renewed for its final season. I guess I just have to find me new shows to watch this year.

PS. I started watching Marvel’s Jessica Jones. It’ s good. 🙂

Will there be a Season 3 for Marvel’s Agent Carter?

It’s no secret that I love Marvel shows and movies. Specially Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Marvel’s Agent Carter. However, I’m dragging my feet in watching the last few episodes of SHIELD because I don’t think I can bear waiting for the season finale. So, my plan is to wait for all the episodes to be aired before I watch it. I did the same thing for Marvel’s Agent Carter. I finally got around watching it yesterday and I loved every single episode.

Mrs. Jarvis

In Season 2, the setting is in California where Sousa is the Chief SSR. It’s nice watching Peggy and Sousa together, of course there are some obstacles they had to overcome but they eventually got together. New characters were introduced too, like Mrs. Jarvis, Dr. Wilkes, etc. Dottie was caught in the beginning, became Peggy’s accomplice towards the middle and got away again in the end.

I seriously love this show. I love the story line, the characters, the costumes and the setting. I don’t mind if I only get to watch 8 or 10 episodes per season. I would be incredibly upset if this show will not be renewed. I know there is another show in the works right now: Marvel’s Most Wanted which is a spin-off of SHIELD where Hunter and Bobby will be the main characters. I will definitely watch that show too, but I hope it will not replace Agent Carter’s slot.

Have you guys watched the latest Captain America Movie? I haven’t yet, but I’ve seen many spoilers in Tumblr and there was a funeral scene (It was Peggy’s Funeral). I would be very annoyed if that is the last time we will see Agent Carter…

Anyway, do you have any shows in mind that you would like to recommend? I do love Police Procedural shows like NCIS, Castle, Forever, and Bones. I just started watching a comedy show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Also, I like some action fantasy like Supernatural. Feel free to share your recommendations on the comment box below. Thanks!

I would like to greet all the moms out there a Happy Mother’s Day specially to my mom. Happy Mother’s Day Mama! Thank you for everything and I love you.

I had the entire week off because my boss went to Italy for a week-long conference. I stayed at home and entertained myself with books, movies and Supernatural. =) Anyway, here are some of the books I’ve read and enjoyed this week.

Shameless by Lex Martin

-This is a stand – alone contemporary romance featuring a tattoed hero and a sweet heroine. If you have read and loved Lex  Martin’s previous books, I’m sure you’ll fall for Shameless too. 4/5 stars.

Eidolon by Grace Draven

– This is the second book of the Wraith Kings series. You have to read the first book- Radiance so that you’ll understand the story. I absolutely enjoyed this book because of the unique characters and amazing story line. I highly recommend this book to PNR fans. 5/5 stars

Nuts by Alice Clayton

– Clayton is one of my favorite rom-com novel authors. Nuts is the first book of her new series- The Hudson Valley Series. It’s fun, hot, and a delicious read. (The heroine is a private chef!) 4/5 stars.
